German Jaramillo-Mckenzie
German’s international experience as an artist and illustrator have given him unique insight into his art, something which is personified in both his realistic and abstract work.
German began his artistic career in 1980 in his native Columbia. In 1985 he received his Graphic Design Degree. He later honed his talents though studies with oil painter master Zhu Wei Min of Beijing, China. In 1989 German came to Canada and settled in Regina where he currently devotes his time between painting and teaching in his new Studio-Gallery “Victoria Art Gallery”.
Throughout his career, German’s art has been featured at many collective and solo exhibitions in Columbia, China, Hong Kong, United States and Canada. Additionally several private collectors of Fine Art and Corporations around the world proudly display German’s art.
German is also a muralist, he has been involved in numerous mural projects across Canada. Some of his public art can be seen at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina as well as Humbolt, Duck Lake, Kenora, Emu and Stoney Plain. German’s art has been donated to many non-profit organizations to raise thousands of dollars.
